Year 2 pupil becomes Head for a day!

Silent auction prize-winner, Emily, becomes Northampton High’s Junior Head for a day!

Year 2 pupil, Emily, had a very exciting day on Friday 19 January as she took on the role of ‘Junior Head for a day’! Having won the silent auction prize at our Christmas Fayre in December, it was finally time for Emily to discover what it takes to be a Headteacher at Northampton High!
Emily was thrilled for her special day and explained that she’d been counting down for weeks! Joining Miss Hair bright and early to kick-start the day, the pair made an awesome team; tackling a jam-packed diary and taking on lots of important responsibilities. After gate duty in the morning, the pair enjoyed a learning walk around Junior School, break time in the staff room and a very important meeting with Dr Lee! Emily very much enjoyed speaking with her teachers and sharing her ideas for the future of the school.
Following the day’s events, Emily announced that she too would like to become a Headteacher one day… and Prime Minister…and a childminder (all at once)! Well done on a brilliant day, Emily, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
