School Minibus Driver (Variety of shifts available)

Hours: 27.5 per week or job share of 13.75 per week, term time only
Salary:  £10.14 per hour (£18,978 FTE) see below for Actual Pay

The role:

We are proud to have a pristine fleet of school minibuses and we are very excited that this will be expanding in 2022. We are therefore looking to appoint several drivers for transporting pupils on the morning/afternoon school runs, Monday – Friday, term time only, and we would be happy to consider either of the following as permanent contracts:

  • Full role 27.5 hours per week, start times of 6.15am and 3.15pm (£11,754.39 actual pay)
  • Job share, morning or afternoon shift, 13.75 hours per week, start time either 6.15am or 3.15pm (£5,877.20 actual pay)

Reporting to the Operations Manager, key requirements of the role include:

  • A valid Cat D1 classification on your driving licence plus an acceptable driving record;
  • Certificate of Professional Competence MIDAS training as required * this can be provided at the school for no fee due to having a qualified trainer on the staff team. The certification lasts for 4 years;
  • The ability to react calmly in emergency situations;
  • Be at least 21 years of age;
  • Have or be prepared to take a suitable First Aid qualification;
  • Maintaining good customer relations with parents and the school and contributing to a good atmosphere on the bus.

Uniform will be provided.

Exam Invigilator

Required from: April 2022
Contract term: Casual Contract
Hours: Very flexible
Salary: £9.60 per hour

The role:

We are looking to recruit several Exam Invigilators to join our dedicated invigilating team to oversee our examination process at key times of the academic year.

To succeed in this role, you will be a reliable, flexible team player, readily available during the main exam periods.  Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills are key, as is the ability to offer a confident and reassuring presence to all candidates in a variety of situations.

The main duties include:

  • To conduct examinations in accordance with all regulations and instructions.
  • To have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination/assessment process.

This will be a Casual contract which would include attending team meetings and training events.   You would need to be available to start by 8.55am or 1.15pm on days of exams but hours will be advised dependent on Invigilator availability and School requirements.

No prior experience of invigilation is required as full training will be provided by the Exams Officer, however some experience of working with children would be advantageous.

Evening Cleaner (Part-Time)

Hours: 15 per week, Monday – Friday, 3.45pm – 6.45pm, all year

The role:

We currently have a vacancy for a late afternoon/early evening Cleaning Assistant role.

Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking general cleaning duties throughout the school.

To succeed in this role, you will be physically fit, trustworthy, hardworking and reliable, with good attention to detail.  Full training will be provided.

Late Site Supervisor (Part-Time)

Required from: ASAP
Contract term: Permanent
Hours: 15 per week, all year (additional hours as required)
Salary: £19,500 FTE / £8,125 pro rata

The role:

We are looking to appoint a Late Site Supervisor to join our experienced Site team.  This is a new role due to growing operational needs and it will be for a minimum of 15 hours per week across Monday – Wednesday evenings.  There is also the potential for additional work which would not exceed 36 hours per week, if required to work during weekends.   Full details of hours are:

  • Monday – Wednesday evenings each week 1700-2230 (regular hours)
  • Saturday and Sunday 0730 – 1830 to cover annual leave of Weekend Duty Site Supervisor, minimum of 12 days per year
  • Saturday and Sunday evenings 1800 – 2230 as required, will vary based on evening event bookings.

Reporting to the Site Team Manager, key requirements of the role include:

  • Undertaking all security duties involved in closing the school premises
  • Checking the security of the sports complex and Senior/Junior School buildings after use by commercial enterprises
  • Monitoring of the carpark
  • Setting up and clearing away furniture of any organised evening event
  • Designated key holder of the school premises during working hours
  • Assisting contractors/visitors including commercial enterprise
  • Carrying out assigned maintenance work requests
  • Driving the tipper van and tractor, therefore must hold a full driving licence.
