Students spread Christmas cheer with fantastic House Plays!

Congratulations to this year’s worthy winners, Demeter

In true Northampton High School tradition, we were delighted to hold our annual House Plays on the last day of the autumn term. In a friendly yet fiercely competitive affair, students of Artemis, Demeter, Hestia and Selene have been rehearsing their chosen plays over recent weeks, before battling it out this morning to see who would be this year’s recipients of the prestigious trophy!

The level of production and performance shown by our students never fails to impress, and this year was no different as we were treated to four spectacular performances. On offer this year was Alice in Wonderland from Artemis, Hansel and Gretel from Demeter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from Hestia and James and the Giant Peach from Selene.

Pupils set new heights with their exceptional productions this year, and after all four Houses had performed it was time for our judges to vote. Despite the exceptional displays there could only be one winner, and after much deliberation this year’s worthy winners were Demeter.

A huge congratulations to Demeter for a fantastic performance, and well done to all the Houses for a fantastic morning of entertainment to really spread the Christmas cheer!
