Equestrian Team secure place at National Championships with success at NSEA Event

The team earned their qualification in the 100cm event to cap off a successful day of competition at Bury Farm

On Thursday 29 October, the Northampton High School Equestrian Team headed to Bury Farm for the latest NSEA Jumping with Style event.

The team headed out to the competition in confident mood, with different members of the squad taking part in a host of exciting events. First off in the 80cm, Nancy D was entered as an individual and flew round in the torrential rain for just one unlucky pole. Next up was the 90cm, and in this event we had two teams competing, both of whom did brilliantly with the team of Gemma W, Lily B and Jodie W coming 3rd and the team of Eloise H, Nancy D and Eve W placing 4th. Finally, in the 100cm, we entered one team consisting of Eloise H, Gemma W, Eve W and Jodie W, and everyone jumped round the very full up course to bring home the win and qualify for the National Championships next year – an unbelievable achievement by the team! Alongside our numerous team event successes, there were also individual placings for Jodie W and Eloise H who placed 1st and 3rd respectively.

Another fantastic day of competition for our amazing team. We are so proud of everybody’s performances, and we are excited by the challenge of the NSEA Championships that are due to take place in 2021.
