Equestrian success at first event of the academic year

Our school Equestrian team started the year in fine fashion with success at the Berkshire College of Agriculture

Earlier in September, the school Equestrian team headed out to the first team event of the academic year, taking place at the Berkshire College of Agriculture.

Our first team in the 80cm Combined Training consisted of Eloise H on Rosie, Alexa D on Twist and Lily B on Hattie. They started off with a bang, taking the win after some low scoring dressage tests and fabulous show jumping rounds. The following class was the 90cm show jumping in which the same team took the win once again in a competitive class. Jodie W also placed individually 4th on Coral. The 90cm Combined Training team of Gemma W on Bomba, Lily B on Floyd, Eve W on Jenga and Jodie W on Coral placed 4th in a very competitive class with some notable personal improvements, particularly in the dressage.

The final class of the day was the 1m show jumping, in which we had Eve, Gemma and Lily on their 90cm CT rides. Two superb clears and one unlucky pole meant that the team took the win in the trickiest class of the day, as well as individual 4th for Gemma W and individual 5th for Eve W.

Overall, all teams enjoyed excellent days, and we are looking forward to our upcoming competitions.
