6.2 Virtual Leavers Reception

6.2 students held a Virtual Leavers Reception on Thursday 12 May to celebrate their time at Northampton High School.

On Tuesday 12 May, Year 13 gathered on Zoom for a Virtual Leavers Reception. Due to the current situation, students were unable to have their Leavers’ Week at school so decided to have a Virtual Leavers’ Night instead.

They spent the evening chatting about their favourite school memories, talking about university and what they were excited for. They all really enjoyed seeing each other again and being able to celebrate the end of their school career together. People shared their favourite stories of Northampton High as well as the funny memories made on many school trips.

The girls also shared what they have been doing during the lockdown, as well as what they were excited to do when quarantine is over. Although it wasn’t the typical way to leave the High School, they really enjoyed the Leavers’ Zoom and being able to say goodbye together.

For now, Year 13 are enjoying the seminars and the modules the GDST have hosted, to bridge the gap between A Levels and university, and they are all getting excited for the beginning of their next chapter.
