U4 Open Homework Projects

This year’s project title of ‘Equality’ was chosen to link both with International Women’s Day and our school Erasmus+ projects.

Every year, we ask our Upper Fourth students to stretch their imaginations by coming up with individual Open Prep projects.

To keep the projects as open as possible we only set a title, with no other stipulations regarding media or content matter, however, we do ask students to work to a plan and to show how they have researched their projects.

As you can imagine, this leads to some very innovative projects, ranging from films to dance pieces, creative writing to sculptures, and pretty much everything in between. Students are allocated individual teachers to assess and offer feedback on their work, and they have also saved examples of their work to their eportfolio websites, to demonstrate their ability to work independently.

This year’s project title of ‘Equality’ was chosen to link both with International Women’s Day and our school Erasmus+ projects. We are excited to be sharing some of the work produced with our partner schools across Europe, for the first time.

Once school has reopened, we will put out a full display of the work produced for everyone to enjoy. For now, though, we hope you like these images of some of this year’s projects.
