NewWay scoops awards in Northamptonshire’s Young Enterprise County Final

Northampton High’s company takes home prizes for Best Customer Service and Best Teamwork at the finals in Wollaston.

On Tuesday 30 April, the school’s Young Enterprise company ‘NewWay’ participated in the Northamptonshire Young Enterprise County Final, held at Scott Bader in Wollaston.

The team was part of elite company, as NewWay was one of just five finalists qualifying for this stage of the competition. The final was gruelling, with the girls having to submit a company report, give a presentation about their business, set up their trade stand displaying their product and attend an intense group interview as part of the competitive final stage. The girls were professional throughout and gave an outstanding presentation to a packed conference room.

At the end of the evening, NewWay was not only awarded the prize for Best Customer Service, but was also the proud recipient of the prize for Best Teamwork – an accolade really treasured as the team felt this was their most significant area of growth. The team was supported this year by their two business advisers, Emily Ball and Graeme O’Doherty, and we are very appreciative of the time they have both dedicated to guide the girls.
