World Cup Cricket Flag Bearers

A group of Year 7 girls went to Grace Road in Leicester to enjoy a game of cricket; the ICC Women’s World Cup England v Pakistan fixture and to be flag bearers for the match.

The girls learnt about the respect held for the flags, how to furl and unfurl the flag and how to tilt the flag for the TV cameras.

The girls then enjoyed the cricket game which saw England hit 377-7, a new record for England in the World Cup. With two centuries for England, the girls were really excited and enjoyed the activities around the ground in the meantime.

The girls were given the opportunity to go out onto the pitch during the interval to play some cricket.
