Sound of Music Production a Smash Hit!

Students wow audiences with amazing production of ‘The Sound of Music’, as part of our 140th Birthday Celebrations

During our Arts Festival week to celebrate the School’s 140th Birthday, the School’s Performing and Creative Arts department put on a production of ‘The Sound of Music’.

A well known and much loved musical, the cast of students from all age groups delivered a smash hit which wowed fellow pupils and audiences alike. Performed on three separate nights, the school’s Senior Hall was a full house on each occasion, with all who attended leaving smiling from ear to ear, humming and whistling the familiar tunes of “My Favourite Things” and “So Long, Farewell”.

Many months of dedicated rehearsal from the cast went into this production, and coupling that with the commitment of the staff, crew and our outstanding Orchestra, all the ingredients were in place to make the production a success; and it was certainly that, and then some.

If you were lucky enough to have attended the show, we hope you enjoyed yourself and had a fantastic time. If you would like to relive the fun, please find below links to our Flickr album of photos from the production, and also an amazing ‘behind the scenes’ video which shows the making of the production, interviews with the cast, and the amazing work that went into making it a success.
