Emphasising ambition and personalisation from day one, our Sixth Form guidance programme begins with a one-day conference (including Year 12 girls from other regional GDST schools) in Cambridge. A day of keynote speeches and workshops introduces the girls to the theme of their Sixth Form: “Dare to dream – with a plan.”

Being part of our Sixth Form gives you the opportunity to develop your repertoire of work experience, both externally and through the GDST. You’ll have access to leading companies such as Nomura, PwC and Rolls Royce, to name a few. Whether just a day or for a month placement over the summer holidays, the benefits of these opportunities are clear: you’ll gain valuable knowledge as well as developing your skill set. In addition, guest speakers regularly visit us to outline new ideas and opportunities, opening your eyes to exciting new futures.

We also offer a range of workshops, volunteering, and enterprise projects that help you broaden your educational horizons and make strong university applications. With over 30,000 potential HE courses available in the UK alone, we know the importance of the right individual guidance. Therefore, your tutors, as well as the Director and Deputy Director of Sixth Form, provide continuous support with these choices and ensure that you’re fully prepared to write successful university applications to give you the edge within the competitive Higher Education field.
