At the centre of our Sixth Form programme are the individual girls who join us; we build a programme to suit your needs.

That means that choice and flexibility are really important in how we design the Sixth Form programme. Every year, we create a timetable from scratch that ensures that every student registered with us for September in Year 12 is able to study the combination of A Levels that suits them best.

We also want our Sixth Formers to have a say and to tell us what you want. There are many opportunities to shape Sixth Form, from setting up and running clubs to suggesting improvements to the Sixth Form Common Room and inviting guest speakers.

As you put together your Sixth Form programme, you will want to develop a well-rounded profile that has academic success as its core, but that also includes enrichment and extracurricular opportunities:

    • Three or four A Levels from a range of 23 subjects
    • Our compulsory Advanced Study Skills course on research, knowledge curation and exam preparation, which many choose to take further into AQA’s Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
    • A bespoke guidance programme for university applications, including individual and small-group tutorials, with specialist provision for dentistry, medicine and veterinary applicants, as well as Oxbridge
    • Two or three Electives from a broad programme including examined courses (such as Core Maths), non-examined academic courses (such as Politics & International Relations or Sociology) and practical courses (such as the Community Sports Leaders Award or Young Philanthropy)
    • Opportunities for leadership through the Student Senior Leadership Team and the House Leaders Team
    • Enrichment through study and field trips and travel, leadership training and work experience. Primarily linked to the curriculum, these add breadth and depth to your work, as well as making your chosen subjects more enjoyable
    • Weekly timetabled sports sessions, including access to our on-site gym, as well as a wide programme of extracurricular team sports, such as hockey, netball, football, etc
    • A wide range of art, music and drama options, including the school orchestra, annual school musical, arts festival
    • An Inspiring Futures programme of events, workshops, networking sessions and conferences to introduce you to university and professional life
