Our People
Our school is, above all, its people. Here just a few of those people tell you their High School stories.


Tahla Robinson / Teacher
I teach the subject Theology and Philosophy but we also learn about Ethics and study Religions… great fun!
I love a plethora of things about the school but particularly the small class sizes are great for positive teacher-student relations- we (teachers) get to know the girls individually and can support them on their journey to progress and achieve.

Elisha is a caring girl who goes out of her way to help others; often with her quick sense of humour. She looks forward to her karate lessons and enjoys socialising with friends at school. She is artistic and musical and makes good use of the opportunities to play her flute with others.
In her wildest dreams, she would be a secret agent and make the world a safer place.

If Charlotte was a book character she would be Belle from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ because she admires Belle’s bravery and passion to learn. She has grown during her time at school through the many opportunities in volunteering and leadership.

Emily is a calm, friendly girl with an amazing imagination. Writing stories is her passion and she enjoys seeing the reactions of her friends when they read her work. She is interested in technology although she had a disaster recently when making slime at home!
In her wildest dreams, she would like to be the boss at home or be a lion, just to feel what it is like to roar!

Mona would love to travel the world and is happiest when she is with friends and family. She believes that Northampton High School is a place where she has become more mature and developed many skills, including leadership, which will be valuable in her future.

Daisy

“Somersaults are amazing and I am working hard to perfect mine.”
Daisy is an energetic, outgoing and athletic girl. She thinks that Art lessons in school are incredible, especially working with clay. Roald Dahl is her favourite author and, since reading the first of his novels, is now an avid reader.
In her wildest dreams, she would learn more about animals, especially how to make her puppies behave.


Matthew Turney / Technician.
I am the Chemistry Technician. I prepare equipment and manage the chemicals used in practical Chemistry as well as supporting the Science department. I have a degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science.
I love the delicious hot meals at lunchtime which as staff we are lucky enough to enjoy with the students!

“If I were a character in a book, I would be Hermione Grainger because she is clever, brave and a great role model.”
Caitlin loves swimming and reading. She feels she has grown in her time at school by gaining confidence, making friends and being helped to believe in herself. School is helping Caitlin to get where she wants to be by teaching her that if you try your hardest you can do anything you want to.


Samantha Dadge / Teacher
I am a teacher in Junior School and have been since we opened the Hardingstone site in 1992. I am also the Junior School Curriculum Co-ordinator, responsible for ensuring we provide a varied, challenging, exciting and creative curriculum that helps the school to move forward in our fast-changing world.
I am constantly in awe of how our girls absorb ideas and have amazing insight and creativity. The staff and girls ensure that every day brings something new and exciting.

Katarina loves being outdoors and one day might travel the world, volunteering in different communities. She has grown during her time at school through being able to try out a variety of activities that she would not normally have participated in.

Anna is inspired by Usain Bolt and if she was a character in a book, she would be Caitness Everdeen
because she never gives up.


Matthew Watson / Teacher
I am a member of the lively MFL department and I teach Spanish & French. I am also the Subject Leader for Spanish.
I love the sense of community about the school. It is something truly special and unlike anything I had ever experienced in a school before my arrival here. Once you’ve been a part of the High School, you’ll never truly leave.

Natasha is a hard-working pupil who is happiest when she is dancing. If she were a book character she would be Jasmine from Aladdin as she wants to travel the world. She finds the school a friendly and open community and has become more confident in voicing her own opinions during her time at school.

Tess hopes to smash a few glass ceilings during her life. She feels that school enables her to express herself by giving her the chance to get involved with activities as part of a House team. She has also enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering.


Kathryn Farrar / Teacher
I am a Reception Class Teacher in the Junior School. No two days are the same in the Early Years – it is constantly busy, full of enthusiasm and enjoyment. It has been very rewarding being able to say I welcomed girls into the Junior School to start their education and watch them progress on to Senior School and beyond.
Northampton High is a great place to work – the people, the buildings, the facilities are all exceptional. The girls are happy and highly motivated and want to learn. This makes it a great start to their lifelong learning.

Monpriya

Monpriya is a playful, artistic girl who loves inventing. She loves opportunities to think outside the box and likes the fact that her teachers explain things so clearly. The environment is important to her, and she enjoys making animal shelters in her garden and learning about conservation.
In her wildest dreams, she would travel to every country in the world, finding out new things and meeting all of the different people.

Phoebe is an adventurous, thoughtful and fun-loving girl. She looks forward to helping others at
school, especially younger girls. Friendships are important to her and she likes our school because
everyone is so friendly, like a big family.
In her wildest dreams, she would be a teacher, probably in Technology or Engineering.

Toni is a keen sportswoman and enjoys the fact that Northampton High School treats everyone equally, which boosts her self-confidence.

I am a School Administrator and also the external hiring’s coordinator for the main school building.
I love the team spirit of the school, working with fantastic students in an all-round welcoming environment.
