Tuesday 10 June
U15 Cricket v Kimbolton School
On Tuesday 10 June 8 girls travelled to Kimbolton to take them on at hardball cricket. Aided superbly by Nick, the girls knew the order, tactics and what to target. Kimbolton opted to bat first and so we stepped up to bowl. Ellie went first and put in a good opener. Everyone took their turn, bowling with variety and wickets were gained by Frankie and Mimi. Kimbolton kept the run rate up, scoring singles and doubles wherever they could so we knew we needed to bat with pace. Kimbolton’s bowling was fast and straight which proved tricky to cope with at times but that didn’t deter our team from going for it and scoring. All the pairs scored runs, with particular performances of note from Ellie, Tess, Kara, Emily and Frankie.
It was an enjoyable hardball match with lots to take away and learn from ready for the next one!
