Monday 24 March

U12A/B Akeley Wood Tournament

U12A

On Monday the A and B team played 2 matches at Akeley Wood School. The captains were myself (Hester) and Amelie. The A and B team did very well and won all of their matches. The A team the Players of the Matches were Zara and Angelie. The score of the A team was 23:2 and 6:0.

U12B

I thought we played really well, we won both games and the scores were 8:0 and 3:2.

We started well with a strong win against Akeley Wood – 8:0. We did an excellent job getting into space and intercepting the ball. Freya did the best intercept from a center pass! Excellent shooting from Alishba and Vivi. Player of the Match was Vivi.

The next game was against Thornton and this was a great deal closer and tested the team. Some fantastic turnovers by Freya, and drives into space by Artemisia and Katherine saw the team win 3:2

Player of the Match went to Katherine.

The whole team then voted on Players-Player and Katherine won this vote also.

A great afternoon of netball, all the team did really well we all came off with happy red tired faces.

U12

What a fantastic end to a fabulous and successful season for the Under 12 netballers!  The girls’ progress in both the A and the B squads has been immense. The A team were unbeaten all season and the B team won 4 out of 6 matches. Their drive and determination to improve, and be the best they can, is admirable and I can’t wait to see what they can achieve next season!

Thank you girls – you have been a pleasure to teach!

Dance Festival

Tuesday evening we hosted our annual Dance Festival bringing our dancing community together. Pupils from across the Junior School and Senior School took part showcasing their talents to songs from many different musicals. It really was a wonderful celebration of creativity, confidence, inclusivity and the High School spirit of being 10% braver. Well done to all involved.
