Bromley Rally – Gymnastics
A great day of competing for the U14 and O14 Gymnastics team.
O14
Led by Sarah, the team made solid vault and floor routines to gain respectable points for the team and came 9th out of 11.
U14
Olivia attained the second highest vault score across all schools participating in the Under 14 competition. Olivia, along with Elizabeth, Artemisia and Siena each gave a scintillating performance on the floor to give the school 10th place out of 12.
Football
A lovely day for the tournament. Great play by all who played with a final position of 15th out of 20. Losing to Brighton on penalties.
Netball
The U16 team travelled to Bromley to compete in the Senior Netball Rally, fully aware of the tough competition ahead. Despite a strong attacking presence, the girls initially struggled to find their rhythm and convert opportunities into goals, leading to some early setbacks. However, after regrouping, NHS fought back with determination, securing a couple of well-earned victories. A huge well done to all seven players for their resilience and perseverance, demonstrating true team spirit even when results didn’t go their way.

U12B vs Wellingborough School
Won 9:2
Northampton High School B Team had an incredible match against Wellingborough B Team on 10 March.
Vivi was awarded Player of the Match!
From when the team first started playing matches together, the team has improved by a massive amount. They are now consistently moving into space, making controlled and careful passes and calling for the ball – making it easier for the feeder, and having that amazing technique of shooting. The team are working so much more fluently together to get the ball into the D. Having that encouraging environment with everyone was a lovely way to bond with one another.
Katherine, who was playing center, made an excellent team player. She was sprinting into open areas ready to receive the ball from her teammates. Even having a defender by her side she was using this incredible technique and having that lovely feed. Katherine was an amazing person to have on the team and she was constantly helping to get the ball into the D ready for the shooters to score.
Even from the start of the match, the team were really progressing. The teams defenders were grasping the ball and the ball made its way down the court smoothly passing it to each other and really working as a team. Due to the team work and controlled but fast passing, we won 9-2.
The team was so happy, and they were all super proud of themselves, and they think they have all improved greatly, too.

Wednesday 12 March
U12 Netball Cup Competition
On Wednesday we travelled to Oundle School for the County Cup Netball competition. Five other teams entered.
The first strong team we played against was Latimer Arts, they were a tough team but we all worked hard as a team together and pulled through by winning 10-8. Everyone played so well.
The next match we played was Oundle School. We had a very strong start with 3-2 to us, but sadly could not keep up our winning streak and lost 6-3. They were a tough team and we all tried our very best.
The third team we played against was Malcolm Arnold. We played so brilliantly and made some amazing saves. We ended with an amazing score of 12-0 to us.
The second to last team we played against was Northampton School. It was a very close game, and the match could have gone either way, but we ended with a tie of 3-3. We all played so well and concentrated very hard.
The final match we played was against Spratton, it was a very tough and close game, we were losing at the beginning, but near the end, we pulled through and won 6-2. Everyone in every match was so good.
Combined results of the tournament saw us tie on points with Spratton and Oundle for first place. Goals scored determined the places and we came second in the county.
