Northampton High School’s amazing Lead team won the ‘Best Business Plan’ award at this year’s GDST Lead Programme!
The Leadership Enterprise Advanced Diploma (Lead) programme is an innovative partnership between the Girls’ Day School Trust and the London School of Economics, which equips young women with the skills to become leaders and entrpreneurs of the future. Students are tasked with setting up an entrepreneurial initiative, conceiving a sustainable product or service, with proceeds going to their chosen charity. This is entrepreneurship with purpose – a philosophy that resonates strongly with today’s socially conscious generation.
Every school in the GDST has a Lead team, each with a unique and wonderful business idea. Our Northampton High students created FemVitals, a non-profit, social enterprise, promoting gynaecological health.
Excitement was high as the team travelled to The London School of Economics and Political Science recently, to deliver a polished and confident pitch of their entrepreneurial project. We are so proud to announce that the team won the Best Business Plan award! Well done team! Everyone at Northampton High School are all so proud of you.
