Congratulations to our Head’s Commendations Recipients

Huge congratulations to all of our students who received a Head’s Commendation from Dr Lee this week!

We’re delighted to share our Northampton High students who were awarded with a Head’s Commendation award for this half term.

On Monday, the following nominated students were presented with their awards in the Senior Foyer surrounded by their peers and teachers who joined them in congratulating them for their special achievements.

Throughout this half term, each of these students have shown kindness and demonstrated a high dedication to school life, both in their school work and extracurricular activities!

Dr Lee presented the girls with their certificates and sweets; a huge well done to this amazing group for your positive attitudes and contributions to your school work so far this academic year!

This special award goes to the following students:

Frankie B – For stepping up to play in a Seniors Tennis fixture with only 10 minutes notice when a couple of senior players dropped out. Straight away she said yes and came down and played superbly, even with an unfamiliar racket! Legend!

Maha G – Maha is always engaged, enthusiastic and ready to contribute, consistently giving 110%. She has been leading a Latin club for the junior school and has shown herself to be an excellent educator; producing very effective resources, thinking carefully about how she structures the sessions, and teaching the Year 5’s with such warmth.

Sahitya B – For her exemplary work with the Student Council and for organising a series of revision sessions for Y11 students delivered by Y12 and Y13 students.

Li H  – For her exemplary work with the Student Council and for organising a series of revision sessions for Y11 students delivered by Y12 and Y13 students.

Grace P – Well done for writing a lively and engaging short story, exploring the theme of intelligence, for the GDST Creative Writing Competition. You are writing with great maturity and I cannot wait to see you continue to develop your writing skills further. Keep taking risks, Grace!

Hope A – Your contribution to the GDST creative writing challenge, based on the theme of intelligence, was lively, engaging and original. Your excellent work ethic is reflected in the wonderful improvements you have made with your writing skills, and I cannot wait to see where your passion for writing will take you next. Keep taking risks, Hope!

Sophie H-W – For your excellent speech on “A woman’s place is where she chooses” for the Chrystall Carter Public Speaking Prize. She spoke with confidence, passion, and enthusiasm, and displayed an incredible grasp of the subject matter through extended and detailed research and reading.
