We are delighted to share the Northampton High students who were awarded with a Head’s Commendation award on Wednesday 15 October 2025.
The nominated students were presented with their awards in the Senior School Foyer surrounded by their peers and teachers, who congratulated them for their special achievements.
Throughout this half term, each of these students have shown kindness and demonstrated a high dedication to school life, both in their school work and extracurricular activities!
Dr Lee presented the girls with their certificates and sweets; a huge well done to this amazing group for their positive attitudes and contributions this academic year!
The Head’s Commendation was awarded to the following students:
Mila F – ‘For her positive attitude in English, the thoughtful contributions she makes in class and the preparation she has undertaken to ensure that she has a good understanding of the novel, ‘Lord of the Flies’.’
Charlotte F – ‘She led the team fantastically on Tuesday. She was motivating, positive, understanding and her performance was outstanding. Just the shear amount of pitch that she covered was awesome, so accompanied by the skills – both attacking and defending is why I am nominating her. Charlotte, Katie, Lily and Natalie played a huge role in why we placed as high as we did, but Charlotte gave more in terms of leadership and as a role model. Charlotte inspired the others while being so humble.’
Safiya C – ‘For her enthusiasm and drive in producing the video for the Outward Bound assembly on Monday 6 October. She collaborated with other pupils to collect the footage and dedicated her own time to producing the final video, making a concerted effort to include every one who went on the trip. Additionally, she has made an incredible start to her studies in GCSE English.’
Florianne F – ‘For kindness and exemplary behaviour. She gave up her study period to help my Year 7 PHSE class who were having IT difficulties trying to upload their PSHE Journal to Google Classroom. She was kind and patient with them and set a great example as an older student.’
Jess L – ‘Absolute star in Classics, going above and beyond to catch up when sport fixtures clash, excellent oral contribution and volunteering to demonstrate in class!’
Francesca G –‘Finding her feet in Classics, a totally new subject to her, has contributed to several group projects already, good detailed research!’
Maisie T – ‘For Classics and Global Outlook – excellent independent research and individual presentation for Black History Month from watching a documentary of her own choice, excellent oral contributions and insight, same in Classics, excellent research and presentation as well as questions demonstrating deep thought.’
Grace P – ‘Contributing orally to Global Outlook every lesson, good collaborative work in her group for Black History Month, considered and thoughtful responses.’
Maanika P – ‘For really trying hard over the past couple of weeks to engage in lessons with a positive attitude.’
Veronica C – ‘We’ve just had the results in from the Mathematical Challenge for Girls. This is a competition usually entered by Sixth Form mathematicians only, but we can enter Year 11s if they are unusually strong – so this year we entered Veronica. She gained a Distinction in the challenge, and actually achieved the highest mark in the whole school! This demonstrates her exceptional mathematical ability.’
