We’re delighted to share our Northampton High students who were awarded with a Head’s Commendation award for this half term.
The following nominated students were presented with their awards in the Senior Foyer surrounded by their peers and teachers who joined them in congratulating them for their special achievements.
Throughout this half term, each of these students have shown kindness and demonstrated a high dedication to school life, both in their school work and extracurricular activities!
Dr Lee presented the girls with their certificates and sweets; a huge well done to this amazing group for your positive attitudes and contributions to your school work so far this academic year!
This special award goes to the following students:
Evie H and Cristina S-R – Both girls spoke in our Senior School Book Week assembly back in February and again in Junior School assembly to help celebrate World Book Day. Originally, I asked Evie and Cristina if they would like to speak in our Book Week assembly in Senior School as they contribute so well in Book Club but with no pressure to do so as it is quite a big thing to do. Both girls agreed immediately, decided which books they wanted to speak about, wrote their own script and we did have a practice in the hall. On the morning of the assembly both girls were understandably nervous but were more than 10% braver and went ahead delivering their script incredibly well and were very pleased to have participated. The girls spoke equally well in the Junior School assembly.
Imogen O – She recently sat a topic test in Science and gained 100%. She has worked really hard all year, persevered with things she has found difficult and never given up. Her hard work has paid off. She has done a fabulous job.
Grace C – Working like a demon to complete History revision questions. She is proactive in seeking new questions and asking for advice and accepts feedback willingly. making phenomenal progress and building confidence as a result.
Florence D – For consistent enthusiasm, effort in class with oral questions/discussions as well as excellent class and prep work (e.g. Legendary Roman women, Myth of Houyi and the sun) and working in teams on Greek weddings.
Deeya R – Deeya has shown remarkable growth in her approach to learning, adapting to the higher academic demands of A Level with resilience and determination. She has become highly self-aware, actively reflecting on her strengths and weaknesses to continuously improve. Her dedication to her EPQ project is exemplary, demonstrating outstanding commitment, careful planning, and the development of strong research skills. Additionally, Deeya maintains a positive attitude, approaches her studies with enthusiasm, and consistently shows appreciation for the support she receives.
Khushi P and Ava R – Both were new starters, but both have done extraordinarily well in ‘catching up’ this tern and achieving above the ‘average’ for their peers, e.g. KP 90% Spring term assessment, AR 81% Spring assessment; they have attended (albeit not every week!) booster sessions on a Wednesday break time too.
Poppy B – She has been amazing in helping with the Dance Festival. She has cut all the music and created the playlist and so the show wouldn’t have happened without her. She also helped choreograph some of the Year 4 dance.
