I first joined the school in September 2016 as a maternity cover in the Science department for a year teaching Key Stage 3 Science and GCSE Chemistry. Luckily, a vacancy came up and I returned as a permanent part-time Science teacher in 2017, and this time teaching my specialised subject, Biology!

I love working here because of the vibrant, respectful and diverse community of people, where you are encouraged to do your best and the sky is your limit. I also feel very privileged to be teaching such enthusiastic, polite and fun loving girls who are always happy to have a go at trying out new things. Moreover, I work with an amazing bunch of colleagues who have a good sense of humour, supportive, kind and very resourceful.

I am a Reception Class Teacher in the Junior School.  No two days are the same in the Early Years –  it is constantly busy, full of enthusiasm and enjoyment. It has been very rewarding being able to say I welcomed girls into the Junior School to start their education and watch them progress on to Senior School and beyond.

Northampton High is a great place to work –  the people, the buildings, the facilities are all exceptional. The girls are happy and highly motivated and want to learn. This makes it a great start to their lifelong learning.

I am a member of the lively MFL department and I teach Spanish & French. I am also the Subject Leader for Spanish.

I love the sense of community about the school. It is something truly special and unlike anything I had ever experienced in a school before my arrival here. Once you’ve been a part of the High School, you’ll never truly leave.

I teach the subject Theology and Philosophy but we also learn about Ethics and study Religions… great fun!

I love a plethora of things about the school but particularly the small class sizes are great for positive teacher-student relations- we (teachers) get to know the girls individually and can support them on their journey to progress and achieve.

I am Personal Assistant to the Headmistress.

What I love most about Northampton High is the people; I feel fortunate to spend my days in such a friendly environment with people who are passionate, dedicated and truly care about the school and pupils.  I also love that every day is different and brings about new challenges.

I am a teacher in Junior School and have been since we opened the Hardingstone site in 1992. I am also the Junior School Curriculum Co-ordinator, responsible for ensuring we provide a varied, challenging, exciting and creative curriculum that helps the school to move forward in our fast-changing world.

I am constantly in awe of how our girls absorb ideas and have amazing insight and creativity. The staff and girls ensure that every day brings something new and exciting.
