We are proud of our extensive range of facilities here at Northampton High School, and we are delighted to make these available for hire to community, business or charitable organisations outside the school day.

Events we cater for include, but are not limited to, conferences and corporate meetings, creative performances, managed events and special occasions, and a wide range of sports opportunities including a swimming pool, all weather pitch, tennis and netball courts, squash courts, sports hall, fitness suite, and studio spaces. All Weather Pitch

Our full sized and flood lit sad-dressed filled pitch with spectator space provides an all-weather surface suitable for many different sports. The full refurbishment over the summer 2024 makes it the perfect venue for clubs and organisations looking for access to a large AWP in Northampton. This is line marked for hockey only, although we do have many football groups that train on the pitch.

We have 6 outdoor courts, 2 of which are fully floodlit.

Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is a 25m indoor heated 6 lane swimming pool. Groups must provide their own lifeguards in order to hire with us. Maximum capacity 30 people.

Sports Hall

Our Sports Hall is 24 x 17m and has markings for badminton, basketball, netball and tennis. Cricket nets are available for softball cricket only. Adjacent to the sports hall are changing and shower facilities which are available as part of the hire.

Theatre

Our Main Hall provides a flexible facility to meet your requirements whatever your needs. With a capacity to seat 550 and measuring 18 x 15m its flexible options have made it popular to hire in the Northampton area for many different types of events, including concerts, shows, conferences and meetings. The hall has full disabled access, stage Wi-Fi, and lighting making it a fully functional event space covering a range of needs. This can be used for performing arts groups, choir/orchestra performances, dance shows, and church groups. Please be aware; our technical equipment is not at a professional standard.

Junior Hall

Our Junior School Hall provides a performance area measuring 10 x 10m with a maximum capacity of 80 people. Its flexible options have made it popular to hire in the Northampton area for many different types of events. Previous uses have included meetings, conference, dance, yoga, gymnastics. musical rehearsal and performance space.

Food Tech

Our food tech room provides an ideal facility for those looking for a professional cooking environment in the Northampton area. Its flexible options means you can run an event for approximately 20 people. Previous uses have included cooking schools and special baking events.

Music Rooms

Our music room is typically used for performing arts sessions, choir rehearsals, or as a break out space from the main theatre. The maximum capacity is 40 standing. If seated then you could comfortably fit 25.

Fitness Studio (first floor of the sports centre)

Our purpose-built dance studio is ideal for dance, yoga, ballet and fitness classes in Northampton. The Studio is 12 x 9m with a natural wood sprung flooring and a ballet bar with mirrored wall along the length of the studio, and can accommodate class sizes of up to 30. We also have 12 spin bikes available to use.

Ballet Studio

Our purpose-built dance (ballet) studio is ideal for dance, yoga, ballet and fitness classes. The Studio is 15 x 8m with a natural wood sprung flooring, ballet bar with mirrored wall along the length of the studio making it the perfect studio for those looking in the Northampton area. The studio has a maximum capacity of 60 people.

Wake Wing Studio

Our Wake Wing studio is ideal for dance, yoga, ballet and fitness classes. The Studio is 16 x 12m and its flexible setup options make it popular in the Northampton area, with a maximum capacity of 110 people.

Forest School

Our spacious forest school offers plenty of options for various bushcraft, scouts, or forest activities. Amongst other things we have a mud kitchen, fire area and enclosed pond. Please note, our forest school is a short walk from the main building and there are no toilet facilities down at forest school.

We have classrooms available that can seat up to 24 people. Smaller classrooms including junior classrooms are also available for a variety of uses throughout evenings and weekends.
