ISI Report

In January and February 2011, we hosted a large team of inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate, who looked at all areas of the school, including Nursery, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form.

The outcome of the inspection was exceptional.

All aspects of the school were judged to be excellent and all aspects of the EYFS were judged to be outstanding.

These are the highest grades it is possible to achieve.

We are keen to congratulate our brilliant staff and our wonderful girls on this amazing result and to welcome new girls who will soon become part of our school’s ongoing success story.

Within the report, inspectors’ comments included

“The younger girls exude enjoyment and warmth and the seniors are confident and relaxed in an environment they feel is their own.”

“In both the junior and senior schools, the teachers’ rapport with pupils is excellent.”

“Results in national tests at the age of 11 were far above the national average.”

“Pastoral care is outstanding.”

“The quality of links with parents, carers and guardians is excellent.”

“Throughout the school individual successes are celebrated by the whole community.”

“Girls are confident, articulate and enthusiastic. They enjoy being at this school.”

“… an atmosphere of achievement and ambition….”

“Relationships are excellent throughout the school.”

“Girls at this school work hard, lead full lives and are keen to do well.”

“The school has excellent systems for supporting those with learning difficulties and disabilities.”
