Scholarships In the Senior School we offer a number of Scholarships. At 11+ entry into the Upper Third we offer Academic, Sports and Arts Scholarships. At 13+ into the Upper Fourth we offer Academic Scholarships. The 11+ Arts Scholarship includes the areas of Drama, Art, Design and Technology and Music. Girls can apply through the different areas but only one Scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding candidate. The 11+ Sports and Arts Scholarships are applied for in the November/December prior to entry. These are applied for by the girls themselves, who complete an application form. Girls are then shortlisted by the relevant teachers and shortlisted applicants are invited into school following the January Entrance Examination for an interview. Academic Scholarships are awarded based on the Entrance Examination performance and a report from the girls' current schools. Offers of Scholarships are included in the school place offer letters that are sent to girls in the first week of February. The 13+ Academic Scholarships are based upon an essay which girls sit in the afternoon following the Entrance Examination. We offer a very broad range of essay titles to choose from which will allow the candidate to draw upon her knowledge from school and home to showcase her enthusiasm and skill. The Scholarships will then be awarded to the top candidates whose performance meets, or exceeds, expectations.
