We were fortunate that the popular author Sophie McKenzie visited the Senior School on Tuesday afternoon. She initially met a small number of girls who had the pleasure of speaking with Sophie personally and asking many interesting and varied questions, including what do you do if you get 'writer's block'? The answer being: 'As I used to be a journalist, what would my boss have said if I complained that I had writer's block'?

Students from Weston Favell School and Abbeyfield School joined the Upper Third and Lower fourth for the next session, where Sophie spoke about the inspiration for her stories, including her extremely popular books 'Girl, Missing' and 'Sister, Missing' and then about the equally popular Medusa Project Series. Following a quite lengthy question and answer session Sophie then very patiently signed many books and autographs for her appreciative audience. We look forward to the final part of the Girl, Missing Trilogy, 'Missing Me', which is due to be published in the Autumn.
